Lewa Marathon

Today I had the privilege of representing our company SEACOM at the Safaricom Lewa Marathon. Other members of the team were Harrison Kombe, Andrew Tuitoek, Sibusiso Kanye from SA office, Bernard Luvale, Rebecca Nkatha and Catherine Ayugi.

I am waiting to get the group ranks and am sure we bettered last year's position when we were ranked 103.

Our first guy did around 1hr 30min, the second 2 hr 15 min, I did 2hr 35min. The fourth member did 2hr 48min.

This is a fan place to be and hope to be back next year.

We managed to see two elephants in the afternoon.

The exact times done are on the link below.

http://www.lewa.org/fileadmin/user/pdf/2015_half_marathon_team_results.pdf

Our team managed to better the our company's performance this year and was took position 79.

I couldn't see WIOCC on the list so I guess on the international communication provider segment, SEACOM was position number 1 for the third year running :).

Junos Faulty Cable log

Was checking a connection today that we give one of our clients and was getting the alarms below, the connection is on copper.

Connecting PCs to bypass eliminate the client's router, I was able to ping the internet. Then connecting my PC to the client's router, I was able to ping it.

After further checks that lasted long given .. the actual solution was repatching the cables across on all the DDFs.

Worldcup 2014

For me this World Cup has been very entertaining. At first I thought I would not watch many matches because most matches were to be played from 11PM.

Contrary to that I have watched almost all the matches and have thoroughly enjoyed this. With Super Sport = Brazil, this has been a treat. I liked that advert a lot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeVIOlmiwKo couldn't get the Africa supports Africa one but that was very good too.

I was hoping that the Netherlands, France would go further than they did. I hope they learnt their lessons and will be better in future tournaments.

African teams did us proud in many ways, especially the Algerian team which almost beat Germany. Ghana and Nigeria were also good but were very very unlucky not to have gotten past the groups stages.

Worst team from Africa Award?  This definitely goes to the Cameroonian team. Lack of cohesion.. how do you end your worldcup preparations with a STRIKE? I think its time for the old boys from the team to retire from the national team. Whatever they did was almost equal to what the French did iin South Africa.

Spain? It was humiliating fr the defending champions to go home that early. This is a team that also needs to get rid of the old boys and build the team around the youngsters who have won youth championships. That might be their best bet. Donate that Costa guy back to Brazil. His injury plus failure to jell in may also have played a part in the dismal performance.

Harambee Stars?

Hooray. for the first time ever the Kenyan team made it to the World Cup thanks to our president. Next time we hope that they actually get to go to the World Cup as a participating team.

As much as  have always like Argentina, I don't see them winning the game tomorrow against Germany as the Germans have more flair at the moment. The 7-1 demolition of Brazil must have given them a confidence boost.

Whose gonna be the top goal scorer? I would prefer James Rodriguez to get the Golden Boot award. The passion he had, plus his easy touch on the ball was exquisite.

As for the 3rd place match today, nobody really cares. This is a match for losers. There is no point playing this match.. as LVG stated.

>> Lets see how this winds up and look forward to the EPL which amazingly is  attracting talent from all the other leagues. With a new managet Man U is bound to perform better.
